International Leadership & Business Internship at Georgetown University, Leadership Initiatives
July 2024
- Collaborated with business experts and a local entrepreneur to improve the infrastructure and marketing strategy of a small restaurant business in Bauchi, Nigeria
- Created and presented a proposal with viable solutions to address the restaurant’s most pressing obstacles, including limited access to essential and reliable resources, high operating costs, difficult access to suppliers, competition, and poor safety
- Educated the local entrepreneur about key financial literacy concepts, including budgeting, financial planning, tracking expenses and income, saving, and debt management
- Received a grant of $1,350 from a panel of industry leaders to implement the proposal
